Fall in love, break the curse.
Cursed by a powerful enchantress to repeat the autumn of his eighteenth year, Prince Rhen, the heir of Emberfall, thought he could be saved easily if a girl fell for him. But that was before he turned into a vicious beast hell-bent on destruction. Before he destroyed his castle, his family, and every last shred of hope.
Nothing has ever been easy for Harper. With her father long gone, her mother dying, and her brother constantly underestimating her because of her cerebral palsy, Harper learned to be tough enough to survive. When she tries to save a stranger on the streets of Washington, DC, she’s pulled into a magical world.
Break the curse, save the kingdom.
Harper doesn’t know where she is or what to believe. A prince? A curse? A monster? As she spends time with Rhen in this enchanted land, she begins to understand what’s at stake. And as Rhen realizes Harper is not just another girl to charm, his hope comes flooding back. But powerful forces are standing against Emberfall . . . and it will take more than a broken curse to save Harper, Rhen, and his people from utter ruin.
honestly I have to start off by saying a curse so dark and lonely totally threw me, I never expected to love this book as much as I did, it drew me in from the very start when it jumped straight into action and flew by just as fast despite the length.
I absolutely loved Grey, Harper and Rhen’s characters throughout the book and found greys character to be so loyal and trustworthy, I think I fell in love with him.
Harper was another great character and I found her strong, stubborn and spunky, she honestly doesn’t let anything slow her down, I also loved how she put Rhen’s character in his place a couple of times.
I loved every moment while reading a curse so dark and lonely, they were high emotions , a little romance and great action scenes, this was my second time reading a re-telling, its a re-telling of beauty and the beast but the author totally owned it and made it her own.
This book ended of a cliff hanger which I totally wasn’t expecting, when it ended I was shouting at my phone NO NO NO!!!! you cant end like that I need more!!!! (good job I was home and not at a local cafe I like to go to). Now I find myself having to wait for the next book and honestly it seems so far away I honestly don’t think I could wait, I really need to know what happens next.
I bough this book from amazon and honestly will be buying the next as soon as its out!!!!
