Two years ago, Louise le Blanc fled her coven and took shelter in the city of Cesarine, forsaking all magic and living off whatever she could steal. There, witches like Lou are hunted. They are feared. And they are burned.

As a huntsman of the Church, Reid Diggory has lived his life by one principle: Thou shalt not suffer a witch to live. But when Lou pulls a wicked stunt, the two are forced into an impossible situationβ€”marriage.

Lou, unable to ignore her growing feelings, yet powerless to change what she is, must make a choice. And love makes fools of us all.

Wow where do I even start with my thoughts on this book? When I first starting reading serpent and dove I thought maybe this book isn’t going to be for me and that was on the first couple of pages and then it all changed…. and oh boy I absolutely loved it and got dragged into the story and it Kept me hooked till the end. I really enjoyed the authors writing style and it was easy to follow who’s POV I was reading , it’s told from Lou and Reid’s POV.

I have to admit when I first started reading the first chapter I was really confused and didn’t have a clue on where this book was going to take me, it totally surprised me that I fell in love with the characters and the story. I can’t wait for the next book.
